Bootie Body (make 2 – start with Black, then switch to Green):
Join Black yarn to the back loop only (BLO) of any stitch on the sole.
Rnd 1 (Black): Ch 1, sc in BLO of each st around. (38 sts)
Rnd 2 (Black): Sc in each st around. (38 sts) Switch to Green yarn.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st around. Sl st to first sc. FO.
Eyes (make 4 – White yarn):
MR.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR. (6 sts)
Rnd 2: Inc in each st around. (12 sts)
Sl st to first sc. FO, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Bolts (make 4 – White yarn):
Ch 4.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 2 ch. (3 sts)
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across. (3 sts)
FO, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Assembly:
- Using black yarn and a tapestry needle, embroider small black pupils onto the center of each white eye piece.
- Sew the completed eyes onto the front of the green bootie body, positioned centrally, around R8-R9 of the green section.
- Using black yarn and a tapestry needle, embroider a jagged mouth below the eyes on the front of the bootie.
- Sew the white bolt pieces onto the sides of each bootie, positioning them horizontally, roughly aligned with the eyes.
- Weave in all remaining loose ends securely.
