Crochet Pattern: Amigurumi Totoro Keychain
Materials
- DK or Worsted Weight Yarn in Grey (main color)
- DK or Worsted Weight Yarn in Cream/Beige (belly color)
- 2.5mm or 3.0mm Crochet Hook (or size appropriate for your yarn)
- 6mm or 8mm Black Safety Eyes
- Small amount of White embroidery floss or thin white yarn (for eye highlights)
- Black embroidery floss (for nose, mouth, whiskers)
- Grey embroidery floss (for belly markings)
- Fiberfill stuffing
- Yarn needle

- Keychain hardware (split ring and chain)

Instructions
Head & Body (Grey Yarn):
R1: 6 sc in MR (6)
R2: inc x 6 (12)
R3: (sc, inc) x 6 (18)
R4: (2 sc, inc) x 6 (24)
R5: (3 sc, inc) x 6 (30)
R6-R12: sc around (30) (7 rounds)
*Insert safety eyes between R9 and R10, approximately 6-7 stitches apart. Use white embroidery floss to create a small white outline or highlight around the top part of each black safety eye.*

FO, leave a long tail. Weave the tail through the front loop of the remaining 6 stitches and pull tight to close the opening. Weave in ends.

Belly Patch (Cream/Beige Yarn):

sl st to the first sc to close the round. FO, leave a long tail for sewing.
*Before attaching, use grey embroidery floss to embroider six small, evenly spaced “V” or dash shapes onto the belly patch. Refer to the image for placement.*
Assembly & Finishing:
1. Using the long tails, sew the ears to the top of the head, slightly to the sides, around R14-R15 of the head.
2. Sew the arms to the sides of the body, around R10-R11 of the head/body, just below the neck area.
3. Sew the belly patch to the front of the body, centered below the eyes.
4. With black embroidery floss, embroider a small horizontal line for the nose directly between the eyes. Below the nose, embroider a small inverted “U” or a “V” shape for the mouth. Add three small whiskers on each side of the face, starting from below the eyes and extending slightly outwards.
5. Attach the keychain hardware to the top center of the head.
6. Weave in and trim all remaining yarn ends.
